Healing - After the fall

May 19th, 2019

Healing -After the fall means to walk through the symptoms of a healing crisis.

In the process of healing, there are periods of cleansing called healing crisis where the active elimination of acid waste happens. During these healing crisis, body tissues eliminate waste which can proactively seem like familiar echos of past illnesses.  During these times of cleansing, it is important to support the organs of elimination: the bowels, the lungs, the skin, the kidneys, and liver.

Movement in the channels of elimination is to be expected of any program that claims to be a cleanse.  Be curious about what from your past, that perhaps you may need to face.

If we face old symptoms, we also may face old feelings that were intertwined in the experiencing of first feeling the symptoms.

Release of old toxic matter from our bodies is an uncomfortable and sometimes gross experience.  It seems to be a necessary fall from the energy high of healing, as old dark matter cannot stay attached to the body.

We can fall into healing crisis when we starve the body in a fast.  Adding strong herbal therapy can create an active detoxification process that needs to be flushed by the liver and kidneys and excreted.  The body continues to excrete even without solid foods, and it is clear that what is passing is more than just waste product of the food we eat.

The cycle and the seasons change can dictate time to cleanse.  Some feel that spring is a good time, and the local herbology would tend to agree!  Burdock, and comfrey, horsetail, and elder flowers all blooming at once!  Dandelion leaves.   A shift in diet towards quicker energy over the stagnant winter fare.

If at the very least you add more of these spring herbs and greens into your diet, a natural gradual cleanse will take place during the weeks and months of Spring.
